Event rules are used to filter and transform events. This topic provides an overview of event rules.

Event rules

An event rule includes the following parts:

  • Filtering: The filtering feature of the event rule is implemented by using event patterns. For more information, see Event patterns.
  • Transformation: The transformation feature of the event rule transforms events in the CloudEvents format to the format that is supported by event targets. For more information, see Event transformation.
