Elastic Compute Service:ModifySecurityGroupPolicy

最終更新日:Aug 28, 2024

Modifies the internal access control policy of instances in a basic security group. The internal access control policy of instances in an advanced security group cannot be modified.

Operation description

Take note of the following items:

  • When InnerAccessPolicy is set to Accept for a security group, the instances in the security group can communicate with each other. In this case, the Accept internal access control policy takes precedence over user-created security group rules to keep instances in the security group accessible to each other.
  • When InnerAccessPolicy is set to Drop for a security group, the instances in the security group are isolated from each other. In this case, user-created security group rules take precedence over the Drop internal access control policy and can be used to allow access between the instances. For example, you can call the AuthorizeSecurityGroup operation to create an inbound security group rule that allows the instances in the security group to communicate with each other.
  • You can call the DescribeSecurityGroupAttribute operation to query the internal access policy of a security group.

  • Access level: the access level of each operation. The levels are read, write, and list.
  • Resource type: the type of the resource on which you can authorize the RAM user or the RAM role to perform the operation. Take note of the following items:
    • The required resource types are displayed in bold characters.
    • If the permissions cannot be granted at the resource level, All Resources is used in the Resource type column of the operation.
  • Condition Key: the condition key that is defined by the cloud service.
  • Associated operation: other operations that the RAM user or the RAM role must have permissions to perform to complete the operation. To complete the operation, the RAM user or the RAM role must have the permissions to perform the associated operations.
