Organization IDs and enterprise identity sources

  • An organization ID is the unique identifier of an enterprise or organization at the Alibaba Cloud account level. It can be used to access cloud computer resources across office networks.

  • By using enterprise identity sources, you can establish mutual trust relationships between Elastic Desktop Service and enterprise identity providers (IdPs) and implement single sign-on (SSO).

New system disk capacity option in quick purchase mode

In previous versions, the quick purchase mode of EDS supports only the option of 80 GiB system disk capacity. In this version, an option of 120 GiB is added.

Computing plans with limited duration

Two computing plans with limited duration are added to help you save costs. One plan provides a monthly duration of 120 hours and the other 250 hours. The monthly duration refers to the length of time for which you can use the cloud computer in a month. If the duration has a remainder, the remaining part cannot be passed on to the next month. If the duration is exhausted ahead of time, hourly charging is used for continual usage. For pricing details, refer to the buy page. Charging stops when the fee for the cloud computer reaches that of the cloud computer with unlimited duration.

This section describes how to create cloud computers in a quick manner. Quick purchase streamlines the purchase process and is suitable for general customers who do not have special requirements.

Password validity settings

By default, the password of a user account is valid permanently. You can specify a validity period of 30 to 365 days for the password. When the specified validity period elapses, end users must change the password before they can log on to terminals.

The Top Duration of Cloud Computer Startup tab is added to the Cloud Computers page to allow you to view the running duration rankings of all cloud computers, manage cloud computer resources, and view user operation logs as required.
