If end users need to access Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) resources across regions, such as accessing cloud computers deployed in the Chinese mainland from an overseas region, you can configure a custom domain name for the office network in which the cloud computers reside. You can use the custom domain name to replace the default gateway domain name of the deployment region. Network acceleration services such as Global Accelerator (GA) are used to speed up resource access and improve user experience. This topic describes how to configure custom access domain names for office networks to improve user experience of accessing cloud computers across regions. In this topic, GA is used as an example.
Background information
In this topic, cloud computers deployed in the China (Guangzhou) region and accessed from the Philippines (Manila) region are used as examples.
Applicable scope
Terminals: Alibaba Cloud Workspace terminals, excluding the Alibaba Cloud Workspace client for web
Regions: China (Fuzhou - Local Region), China (Guangzhou), China (Hong Kong), Philippines (Manila), Thailand (Bangkok), US (Silicon Valley), and Germany (Frankfurt)
NoteIf the preceding regions cannot meet your business requirements, submit a ticket.
Billing
You are not charged for configuring custom access domain names for office networks. However, you are charged if you use GA. For more information, see Billing Overview.
Step 1: Create a GA instance
Before you configure custom access domain names for office networks, go to the GA console to create a GA instance.
Log on to the GA console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
.On the Instances page, click Create Standard Pay-as-you-go Instance or Create Standard Subscription Instance based on your business requirements.
In this topic, a standard pay-as-you-go instance is used as an example.
On the wizard page, configure the parameters described in the following table and click Next to go to the subsequent steps. For parameters that are not listed in the table, use the default values.

Instance Billing Method
You are charged instance fees, Capacity Unit (CU) fees, and data transfer fees for pay-as-you-go standard Global Accelerator instances.
For more information about instance fees and CU fees, see Billing of pay-as-you-go GA instances.
For more information about data transfer fees, see Pay-by-data-transfer.
Select Pay-As-You-Go.
Terms of Service
The first time you activate the service, read and agree to the terms of service.
Read and agree to the terms of service.
Configure Acceleration Area step
Acceleration Area
Select a region that is close to your end users. Select one or more regions where you want to accelerate network access and click Add.
Philippines (Manila)
Configure listeners step
Protocol
Select a protocol for a listener. Cloud computers use TCP and UDP. In this case, you must configure ports for listening.
NoteHowever, you can choose only one of the protocols when you configure the GA instance. After you configure the GA instance, you can add a listener port for the other protocol on the GA instance details page.

Step 2: Add a listener port
After you create the GA instance, you must configure a listener port for the other protocol as described in Step 1.
Log on to the GA console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
.On the Instances page, find the GA instance and click the instance ID.
On the Listeners tab of the instance details page, click Add Listener.
On the Add Listener page, configure the parameters described in the following table and click Next to go to the subsequent steps. For parameters that are not listed in the table, use the default values.

On the instance details page, click the Instance Information tab and click Copy next to the value of the CNAME parameter. Then, the custom domain name is obtained.
Step 4: Configure the custom domain name for an office network
After you obtain the custom domain name, you can go to the EDS console to configure the domain name for the office network in which cloud computers reside.
Log on to the EDS Enterprise console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
