This topic describes how to configure IPv6 in the ApsaraVideo VOD console. After you enable IPv6, clients can send requests to Alibaba Cloud CDN over IPv6. Requests that are redirected to origin servers also carry the IPv6 information about the clients.
Background information
Most of the points of presence (POPs) support IPv6. After IPv6 is enabled, clients can send IPv6 requests to the nearest POPs if the clients are in an IPv6 environment and the POPs support IPv6. If the nearest POPs do not support IPv6, the clients can send IPv4 requests to the POPs.
POPs that are deployed in regions outside the Chinese mainland, including China (Hong Kong), China (Macao), and China (Taiwan), do not support IPv6.
Procedure
Log on to the ApsaraVideo VOD console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Configuration Management > CDN Configuration > Domain Names. The Domain Names page appears.
On the Domain Names page, find the domain name that you want to manage and click Configure in the Actions column.
On the Basic Configurations tab, find the IPv6 section.
Enable the IPv6 feature.
