If you experience playback failures or stuttering when using the Web Player SDK, use the diagnostic tool to troubleshoot the issue. The tool checks basic information, network details, and playback logs. This topic describes how to use the diagnostic tool provided by the Web Player SDK.
Prerequisites
To ensure an accurate video playback diagnosis, configure the following settings:
Enable Referer-based hotlink protection for the video playback domain name and add the
player.alicdn.comdomain name to the whitelist. For more information, see Configure IP blacklists and whitelists.NoteThe address
player.alicdn.comis a fixed address for ApsaraVideo Player. Add this address to the whitelist.
Add Access-Control-Allow-Origin to the HTTP header for the video playback domain name. For more information, see Configure CORS.
Procedure
Open the diagnostic tool.
You can open the diagnostic tool for ApsaraVideo Player in one of the following ways:
If a playback error occurs, click Diagnose to open the diagnostic tool page.

Go directly to the Diagnostic tool.
Basic information diagnostics.
On the Diagnostic Information tab, the tool displays information about your environment, such as the operating system, browser, IP address, and Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Diagnose video playback.
On the Video Playback tab, select a playback method. The following methods are available: Native H5, Aliyun H5, and Aliyun Flash.
Enter the Source parameter (the video playback URL) and click Play to start the diagnosis. If you do not have a Source parameter, you can enter the Vid and playAuth parameters instead.
NoteThe Source parameter has the highest priority.
When the diagnosis starts, the playback page displays the playback log.
