How is the Simple Log Service alerting and monitoring system billed?
Charges apply only for alert notifications received via text messages and voice calls. There are no charges for storage or active shards. For more information, see the Billing method.
Am I charged if a voice call is not answered and I receive a text message?
You incur a charge for a voice call regardless of answer status. There is no charge for the follow-up text message sent after an unanswered voice call.
Am I charged only once if I receive an alert notification that is sent to me in two text messages?
Yes, you are charged only once. If an alert notification exceeds 70 characters and is split into two messages, the charge is for a single text message.
