Overview

This article describes when a Transfer-Encoding:chunked field exists in the HTTP request header of a layer -7 SLB instance.

Description

After the domain name is resolved into the address of the layer -7 SLB, a Transfer-Encoding:chunked field is added in the HTTP request header when accessing the domain name from a local host, but this field is not found when accessing the backend server directly from the local host.

Due to the seven SLB is based on tengine reverse proxy, transfer-encoding field indicates how the Web server response message body coding such as transfer-encoding:chunked to represent a Web server response message body made chunked transfer.

Note: in a layer -4 SLB instance, the SLB instance only forwards traffic and does not contain this field.
