This topic describes how to configure a monitoring frequency for an ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instance.
Background information
ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server supports the following monitoring frequencies:
Every 10 seconds
Every 60 seconds
Every 300 seconds
Limits
If your RDS instance uses one of the following dedicated instance types, you can set the monitoring frequency to every 60 seconds or every 300 seconds. For more information, see Instance types for primary ApsaraDB RDS for SQL Server instances.

If your RDS instance has two CPU cores, you can set the monitoring frequency to every 60 seconds or every 300 seconds.
NoteYou can view the details of the instance type in the Configuration Information section on the Basic Information page.
Procedure
- Go to the Instances page. In the top navigation bar, select the region in which the RDS instance resides. Then, find the RDS instance and click the ID of the instance.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Monitoring and Alerts.

On the Standard Monitoring tab, click Set Monitoring Frequency.
In the Set Monitoring Frequency dialog box, select a monitoring frequency and click OK.
