The Complete Missing Data feature automatically fills in the date dimension of a chart with missing data so that the complete time series is fully displayed in analysis and reports.
Prerequisites
A dashboard is created. For more information, see Create a dashboard.
A dataset is selected and chart fields are configured. For more information, see Configure a chart.
Limits
Charts that support the completion of missing data include:
The trend chart of the metric.
Line chart, area chart chart, stacked area chart area chart, percent stacked area chart, combination chart.
column chart, stacked column chart, 100% stacked column chart stacked column chart, circular bar chart, leaderboard, bar chart, stacked bar chart, 100% stacked bar chart stacked bar chart, waterfall chart.
The timeline.
The completion of missing data feature is only used for the date dimension.
You can configure data completion for only one date field in the same chart. After the configuration is complete, you cannot select Complete Missing Data for other date fields.
You cannot complete fields at the hour, minute, second, and ymdhms granularities.
You cannot complete fields that you drag to a color legend or a tooltip.
After completion, the date field will be sorted, and other sorts may be affected.

The Complete Missing Data feature is used in the advanced calculation of the date dataset. Examples:

Follow the steps shown in the following figure to go to the dashboard editing page.

Take a stacked column chart as an example and create a chart as shown in the following figure.

Drag or double-click a dataset and click Update. The following results are displayed:

The chart contains no data between 2019 and 2020 and is hidden and cannot be viewed. You can perform the following operations to display the missing data:

If you enable the completion of missing data feature, you can complete the empty values of all fields except the date field.
