Billing rules for the value-added features of PDS - Drive and Photo Service

This topic describes the billable items for value-added features provided by Photo and Drive Service (PDS).

PDS adopts the pay-as-you-go billing method for value-added features. The following table describes the billable items for value-added features.

Billable items for extended features

During package download, the generated package files are stored in the space that stores the value-added data of the user domain to accelerate the download. PDS periodically clears the generated package files. You are charged data storage fees that are generated for package files until the package files are cleared. The storage fees are calculated based on the total size of the generated package files. For more information about the unit price, see Billing.
After package download is enabled, if a user downloads a folder or selects multiple files to download by using a web client, a package file may be generated. If a user downloads a folder or selects multiple files to download by using a desktop client, no package file is generated.

When a user exports audit logs, the generated log files are stored in the space that stores the value-added data of the user domain to accelerate the download.
PDS periodically clears the generated log files. You are charged data storage fees that are generated for log files until the log files are cleared. The storage fees are calculated based on the total size of the generated log files. For more information about the unit price, see Billing.

By default, audio and videos can be played during transcoding. The transcoding process is triggered for audio and videos only when you play them.
By default, videos are transcoded in the H.264 format.
The resolution of a transcoded video is determined by the resolution of the source video. By default, the output resolution is at most 1920 × 1080 pixels. If you require a higher output resolution, contact technical support.
Data generated by audio and video transcoding is stored in the space that stores the value-added data of the user domain. This way, users can play audio and videos online. You are charged data storage fees. The storage fees are calculated based on the total size of the generated data. For more information about the unit price, see Billing.

Fees for online file preview and editing are calculated based on the number of times you click the links to online files rather than on the number of times you call the related operations.
If the Permission.Readonly parameter is set to true for the GetWebofficeURL operation, you are charged for using the online file preview feature. Otherwise, you are charged for using the online file editing feature.

After you enable this feature, PDS performs intelligent analysis on all images in the domain.
For example, PDS performs the following operations: image tagging, image quality scoring, facial recognition and clustering, reverse geocoding, intelligent image cropping, acquisition of image media information, and query of image data.

Note

You are charged transfer acceleration fees and fees for outbound traffic over the Internet separately.
