Object Storage Service:What do I do if the 'NoSuchCnamelnRecord' error is reported after I attach a domain name to an OSS bucket?

Last Updated:Nov 18, 2025

Symptoms

After you attach a custom domain name to an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket, you cannot add an HTTPS certificate and the following error message is returned:

REQUESTID d774e953-cdfb-4bea-b405-a5c79f98****
Error code NoSuchCnamelnRecord
Error message No such cname be found in record.

The domain name and certificate are correctly matched in the Digital Certificate Management Service console.

Cause

This error occurs because the domain name cannot be found when you add the certificate. This happens because the domain name does not have an Internet Content Provider (ICP) filing or its ICP filing has expired.

Solution

Make sure that the domain name has an ICP filing and the filing information is valid.

OSS also supports domain names that have ICP filings from providers other than Alibaba Cloud. You can select a domain name that has a valid ICP filing, attach it to your bucket, and then add the certificate.
