This topic describes how to handle a resource plan that is about to expire or a plan that expires.
A resource plan is about to expire
Before the resource plan expires, you can perform operations based on whether you want to renew the resource plan:
Renew the resource plan
If you want to continue using the cost-effective resource plan, renew the resource plan. For more information, see Renew resource plans.
Do not renew the resource plan
If you only want to use the remaining storage capacity of the resource plan to offset storage usage within the validity period of the resource plan and you do not want to use the resource plan after it expires, you do not need to perform any operations. After the resource plan expires, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are charged based on your actual usage.
A resource plan expires
After a resource plan expires, you cannot renew or upgrade the resource plan. You also cannot purchase multiple resource plans. After your resource plan expires, you can perform the following operations:
Purchase a new resource plan
If you want to continue using the cost-effective resource plan, purchase a new resource plan. For more information, see Purchase resource plans.
Use the pay-as-you-go billing method
