Gateway endpoints allow resources in a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) to access Object Storage Service (OSS) in the same region in a secure and efficient manner without using NAT Gateway (NAT) or public IP addresses. OSS supports gateway endpoints only in specific regions. When you use bucket policies, RAM policies, or endpoints to restrict the VPCs, make sure that the regions of the selected VPCs match the regions of the gateway endpoint supported by OSS. Otherwise, authentication requests cannot be associated with the corresponding VPC, which leads to authentication failures and affects normal service calls and data interaction.
