CloudOps Orchestration Service:Operation Center

Last Updated:Dec 05, 2024

Operation Center is a module provided in the CloudOps Orchestration Service (OOS) console for O&M engineers and professionals to manage O&M items of resources in a centralized manner. An O&M item refers to an operational issue that requires troubleshooting and fixing. In Operation Center, you can view the details of each O&M item, including its status and related resources. This topic describes how to create and manage O&M items, including setting the basic information about an O&M item and updating its status, to help you handle O&M tasks.

Benefits and features of Operation Center

  • Support the centralized management of O&M items: OOS automatically aggregates O&M items of multiple Alibaba Cloud services to a single platform. In the OOS console, you can view, track, and correct O&M items in a centralized manner.

  • Reduce the average time in resolving issues: You can view the O&M item data generated by a specific service and the historical records and solutions related to Alibaba Cloud resources in Operation Center.

  • Use standardized O&M items to prevent errors: You can create O&M items, and view and manage the aggregated O&M items that are automatically or manually created by using the same module. This standardized process helps reduce risks and save time in training developers.

  • Use OOS templates to automatically fix issues: You can view the information about O&M items and fix issues by executing OOS templates in the OOS console.

Prerequisites

Create an O&M item

  • If you want to audit the compliance and security of resources, you can use the automatic creation feature to create O&M items. This frees you from manual operations. For more information, see Integrate EventBridge and Cloud Config with Operation Center.

  • If O&M issues are detected, you can manually create O&M items in Operation Center of the OOS console to manage and resolve the O&M issues in a convenient way. For more information, see Manually create an O&M item.
