This topic describes the version upgrade, engine parameter configuration, service management, data management, benefits of ZooKeeper instances, and support for Simple Authentication and Security Layer (SASL).
Upgrade the version of a ZooKeeper instance
The ZooKeeper engine provides two editions: Professional Edition and Developer Edition. You can upgrade the edition of a ZooKeeper instance in the Microservices Engine (MSE) console. For more information, see Upgrade a ZooKeeper version
Configure ZooKeeper engine parameters
You can configure and modify the ZooKeeper engine parameters in the MSE console to optimize the performance of the ZooKeeper engine. For more information, see Configure ZooKeeper engine parameters.
Mange services
MSE ZooKeeper instances allow you to query and manage Dubbo services. You can use the service management feature to query the details of Dubbo services that are registered with an MSE ZooKeeper instance. For more information, see Manage services.
Manage data
The ZooKeeper engine coordinates and manages distributed applications by maintaining znodes and provides the service synchronization and configuration management features. For more information, see Data management.
Support SASL for ZooKeeper instances
MSE allows you to configure the SASL authentication mechanism and enable forced identity authentication for ZooKeeper instances to improve data security. For more information, see SASL for ZooKeeper instances.
