After you create a Microservices Engine (MSE) instance, you can view the status and other information of the instance, change the name of the instance, and release the instance if you no longer use it. This topic describes how to manage an MSE ZooKeeper instance.
Prerequisites
MSE is activated. For more information, see Activate MSE.
An MSE ZooKeeper instance is created. For more information, see Create an MSE instance.
View an instance
- Log on to the MSE console and select a region in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.
- On the Basic Information page, view the instance information, including the basic information and node status of the instance.
Change the name of an instance
When you create an instance, MSE automatically generates a name for the instance. We recommend that you change the name of the instance to a new one that is easy to identify.
- Log on to the MSE console and select a region in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.
On the Basic Information page, click the icon next to Instance Name to edit the instance name. In the message that appears, click OK.
Restart an instance
If an issue occurs on an instance or after you modify the parameters of an instance, you must restart the instance. MSE allows you to restart a single node or all nodes. You can restart one or all nodes based on your business requirements:
Restart all nodes
- Log on to the MSE console and select a region in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.
In the upper part of the Basic information page, click Restart Instance. In the message that appears, click Determine.
NoteWe recommend that you do not perform other O&M operations before the restart is complete.
Wait 10 to 15 minutes until all nodes are restarted.
Restart a single node
- Log on to the MSE console and select a region in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- On the Instances page, click the name of the instance.
In the Instance node section of the Basic information page, find the node that you want to restart and click Restart in the Actions column. In the message that appears, click Determine.
Release an instance
You can manually release only pay-as-you-go instances.
After an instance is released, the instance and all data of the instance are deleted. Proceed with caution.
- Log on to the MSE console and select a region in the top navigation bar.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
- On the Instances page, find the MSE instance, and click in the Actions column. In the list that appears, select Release Instance. In the Release Instance message, click OK.
