Before you use the rules engine in IoT Platform to forward device data to another Alibaba Cloud service, make sure that the destination Alibaba Cloud service is supported in the specified region and supports the format of the forwarded data. This topic describes the destination Alibaba Cloud services that are supported in different regions.
Background information
By default, the public instances of IoT Platform are available in the following regions: China (Shanghai), Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), and Germany (Frankfurt).
For regions in which Enterprise Edition instances are available, you can view a public instance and the Enterprise Edition instances that you purchased on the Overview page in the IoT Platform console. You can click the card of the instance that you want to manage to go to the Instance Details page. The features of the instance are displayed on the page.
This topic describes the destination Alibaba Cloud services that are supported in different regions for the data forwarding feature of the new version. For more information about the regions in which the data forwarding feature of the previous version is supported, see Regions.
