IoT Platform provides specific instances for test environments and production environments. You can use the instances to identify and manage devices that are connected to IoT Platform from different environments. This topic describes how to manage instances in the test environment and production environment.
Environment tags are available only in the regions where Enterprise Edition instances are supported. For more information about the regions where Enterprise Edition instances are supported, see Instances.
Instances in different environments

You can change the tag value of an Enterprise Edition instance to Test Environment. View instances in different environments
Log on to the IoT Platform console.
In the upper-left corner of the page that appears, select the region where the instance that you want to manage resides.
On the Overview tab, click Production environment or Test environment.
By default, the Overview tab displays all instances on the All environments tab.
Change the tag value of an Enterprise Edition instance
By default, Standard and Exclusive Enterprise Edition instances that you purchased are displayed on the Production environment tab. You can change the tag value of an instance.
Log on to the IoT Platform console.
In the upper-left corner of the page that appears, select the region where the instance that you want to manage resides.
On the Overview tab, find the card of the instance that you want to manage, click the
icon in the upper-right corner of the instance card. Click Edit instance information.
In the Edit instance information dialog box, click the
icon. In the tooltip that appears, select Production environment or Test environment from the drop-down list.
Click Save.
After you change the tag value of the instance, the instance is displayed on the tab of the specified environment.
