Default log project and Logstore

From October 28, 2024, the default log project for Function Compute is changed to the serverless-{{Region name}}-{{Random string}} project. The default Logstore is changed to the default-log Logstore in the project. The preceding log project and Logstore are used to store logs that are generated by new functions whose log configuration mode is Automatic Configuration and existing functions for which you enable the logging feature in Automatic Configuration mode.

Free quotas

Function Compute provides you with free quotas for the new Logstore. The following categories of free quotas are provided:

  • Pay-by-ingested-data items

    • Free ingested data volume: 100 MB/day.

    • Free storage duration: 30 days.

    • You are charged based on regular billing methods for excess ingested data, data stored in hot storage tier over 30 days, and other features, such as ingest processors, data reading over the Internet, storage usage of the Archive storage tier, and storage usage of the Infrequent Access (IA) storage tier.

  • Pay-by-feature items

    • Free space for storage usage of the hot storage tier: 500 MB/month.

    • Free index traffic of log data: 500 MB/month

    • Free read and write traffic: 500 MB/month.

    • Free read and write operations: 1 million/month.

    • Free active shards: 31 shard days/month.

    • You are charged based on regular billing methods for excess usage and other features, such as ingest processors, data transformation, data shipping, data reading over the Internet, storage usage of the Archive storage tier, and storage usage of the IA storage tier.

Impacts

Log configurations remain unchanged for functions whose logging feature was configured before October 28, 2024.
