Realtime Compute for Apache Flink:Switch from pay-as-you-go to subscription

Last Updated:Sep 13, 2024

After you create a pay-as-you-go workspace, you can switch the billing method of the workspace to subscription based on your business requirements. This topic describes how to switch the billing method of a workspace from pay-as-you-go to subscription.

Prerequisites

The fully managed Flink workspace whose billing method you want to switch meets the following requirements:

  • The workspace is in the Running state.

  • No unpaid order that is created to switch the billing method exists in the workspace.

If such an unpaid order exists in the workspace, you must cancel the unpaid order and place another order to switch the billing method.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.

  2. find the workspace that you want to manage, and choose More > Convert to Subscription Billing Method in the Actions column.

  3. In the Convert To Subscription Billing Method dialog box, configure the parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Configure Resources

Specify the number of resources that are allocated to a namespace.

    Duration

Purchase an instance on a monthly basis. You must select at least one month as the subscription period.

    Auto-renewal

    Auto-renewal is enabled by default.

    Terms of Service

Read Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement and select I have read and agree to Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement.

  4. Click OK and complete the payment.

After the payment is complete, you can click Console to view the switching status of the billing method. If the status of the workspace is changed from Configuring to Running and the billing method is changed to Subscription, the switching of the billing method is complete.

In most cases, the process of switching the billing method requires 1 to 5 minutes after you complete the payment. Existing deployments are not affected during the switching of the billing methods. For more information about the subscription billing method, see Subscription.
