After a workspace is created, you can switch the billing method between pay-as-you-go and subscription to meet your business requirements. This topic describes how to switch between billing methods.
Prerequisites
The Realtime Compute for Apache Flink workspace whose billing method you want to switch must meet the following requirements:
The workspace is in the Running state.
The workspace cannot be overdue or expired. You must renew the workspace at the earliest opportunity.
No unpaid order that is created to switch the billing method exists in the workspace.
If such an unpaid order exists in the workspace, you can cancel the unpaid order and place another order to switch the billing method.
Usage notes
We recommend that you configure the required resources in advance or use the subscription billing method for important business to ensure that resources are reserved. If you use the pay-as-you-go billing method, underlying physical resources are required when a job is started or restarted. If resources in specific regions or zones are extremely insufficient, tasks may fail to be started. This affects business continuity.
You cannot directly change the mixed billing method to pay-as-you-go or subscription. To change the billing method to subscription, you must disable the elastic resources. Then, you can change the subscription billing method to pay-as-you-go.
Change the billing method from pay-as-you-go to subscription
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.
Find the desired the workspace, choose in the Actions column. In the dialog box that appears, configure the related parameters.

Configure Resources
The number of computing resource quotas allocated to a specific namespace in the workspace.
Duration
Purchase a workspace on a monthly basis. You must select at least one month as the subscription period.
Auto-renewal
By default, auto-renewal is enabled. For more information about how to manually renew workspaces and disable auto-renewal for workspaces, see Renewal policy.
Terms of Service
Read Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement and select I have read and agree to Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement.
Click OK and complete the payment.
After the payment is complete, you can click Console to view the switching status of the billing method. In most cases, the switching process requires 1 to 5 minutes after you complete the payment. Existing deployments are not adversely affected during the switching. If the status of the workspace is changed from Configuring to Running and the billing method is changed to Subscription, the switching of the billing method is complete.
Change the billing method from subscription to pay-as-you-go
You cannot change the billing method from subscription to pay-as-you-go for workspaces that use the YiTian ARM architecture and workspaces for which cross-zone high availability is enabled.
After you switch the billing method of a workspace from subscription to pay-as-you-go, the system refunds the remaining amount of the subscription and stored-value cards to the original payment account. The amount of coupons and vouchers cannot be refunded. Make sure that your account has sufficient balance. If your account does not have sufficient balance, the workspace may be adversely affected due to overdue payments.
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.
Find the workspace that you want to manage, and choose in the Actions column.
In the dialog box that appears, view the instructions and refund information.
Read Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement and select I have read and agree to Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement.
Click OK and complete the payment.
After the payment is complete, the billing method is switched from subscription to pay-as-you-go. The value of the Billing Method column changes to Pay-as-you-go.
