The subscription billing method allows you to use resources only after you pay for them. This billing method is suitable for business that has long-term and predictable resource needs. This topic describes the billing rules for the subscription billing method, including the billing cycle and unit prices in different regions.

Billing rules |
For information about the unit prices of CUs for management and computing by region, see the "Unit prices in different regions" section of this topic. Important
In the following example, the unit price of CUs for both management and computing is USD 45.94 per CU per month. If you create a single-zone workspace that uses the Intel X86 architecture, assign eight CUs for computing, and set the subscription duration to three months, the workspace fee is USD 1,378.2, calculated using the following formula: Fee for workspace management resources + Fee for computing resources of a namespace= 2 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months + 8 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months = USD 275.64 + USD 1102.56 = USD 1,378.2. |
Billing cycle | The billing cycle is the subscription duration measured based on the UTC+8:00 time zone. The billing cycle starts when the subscription is created or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date. The start time is accurate to the second. |
Resource availability | The impact of an expired subscription workspace on the resource availability varies based on the elapsed time since the expiration. For more information, see Overdue payments. |
Renewal policy | To continue using your subscription workspace after it expires, renew your subscription. For more information, see Renewal policy. Note
|
Refund policy | The subscription billing method requires an upfront payment. If you no longer require a workspace due to business requirement changes, you can submit a ticket to cancel the subscription and apply for a refund. For information about the refund operations and rules, see Refund policy. |
Resource scaling | After you create a subscription workspace, you can modify its resource configurations. For more information, see Reconfigure resources. |
Unit prices in different regions
The subscription billing method is more fee-effective if the subscription duration is longer than one year.
You can view the actual prices on the buy page.
The China (Zhangjiakou) region and Zone H of the China (Hangzhou) region currently only support scaling existing resources. You can purchase new resources in other regions and zones. For information about the most recent list of supported regions and zones, see the buy page.
