The subscription billing method allows you to use resources only after you pay for them. This billing method is suitable for business that has long-term and predictable resource usage. This topic describes the billing rules for the subscription billing method, including the billing cycle and unit prices in different regions.

Billing rule |
For information about the unit prices in different regions, see the "Unit prices in different regions" section of this topic. Important
In the following example, the unit prices of management resources and computing resources are the same, which is USD 45.94 per CU per month. If you create a workspace that uses the Intel X86 architecture and eight CUs of computing resources and set the subscription period to three months, the fee for the workspace is USD 1,378.2. The fee is calculated by using the following formula: Fee for management resources + Fee for computing resources = 2 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months + 8 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months = USD 275.64 + USD 1102.56 = USD 1,378.2. |
Billing cycle | The billing cycle is the subscription period measured based on the UTC+8:00 time zone. The billing cycle starts when the subscription is created or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date. The start time is accurate to the second. |
Resource availability | The impact of an expired subscription on the resource availability in a workspace varies based on the elapsed time since the expiration. For more information, see the "Resource availability for an expired subscription" section of this topic. |
Renewal policy | If you want to continue using a workspace after the subscription period ends, you can renew the subscription of the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy. Note
|
Refund policy | The subscription billing method requires an upfront payment. If you no longer use a workspace due to business requirement changes, you can submit a ticket to cancel the subscription and apply for a refund. For information about the refund operations and rules, see Refund policy. |
Resource scaling | After you create a subscription workspace, you can reconfigure the resources of the workspace. For more information, see Reconfigure resources. |
Unit prices in different regions
The subscription billing method is more cost-effective if the subscription period is longer than one year.
You can view the actual prices on the buy page.
The China (Zhangjiakou) region and Zone H of the China (Hangzhou) region currently only support scaling existing resources. You can purchase new resources in other regions and zones. For information about the most recent list of supported regions and zones, see the buy page.

Resource availability for an expired subscription
A subscription workspace can be accessed only during the subscription period. If the subscription expires and you do not renew it within a specific period of time, the workspace resources may be automatically released. The following figure shows the different stages of a workspace that has an expired subscription and the recommended actions.
Stage | System policy | Recommended action
Before expiration | You are notified by text message and email. | Renew the subscription to continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
After expiration | Within 15 days after expiration | You cannot access the workspace. The running jobs in the workspace are stopped. | Renew the subscription to continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
15 days after expiration | The workspace resources are automatically released. The job data of the workspace is deleted and cannot be restored. Note Resources that are stored in Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets, such as JAR packages that you uploaded, are not deleted. | The workspace cannot be restored. You must create a new workspace. |
