The subscription billing method allows you to use resources only after you pay for them. This billing method is suitable for business that has long-term and predictable resource needs. This topic describes the billing rules for the subscription billing method, including the billing cycle and unit prices in different regions.
Item | Description |
Billing rules | Workspace fee = Fee for management resources of the workspace + Sum of fees for computing resources of all namespaces in the workspace
The number of CUs consumed for management is fixed to 2 CUs. For more information about the unit prices of single-zone or cross-zone CUs for computing in different architectures and regions, see the Unit prices in different regions section in this topic. For more information about billing examples in different scenarios, see Billing examples. Important In the preceding formulas, the subscription duration is measured in months. The actual prices on the buy page prevail. |
Billing cycle | The billing cycle is the subscription duration measured based on the UTC+8:00 time zone. The billing cycle starts when the subscription is created or renewed and ends at 00:00:00 on the day after the expiration date. The start time is accurate to the second. |
Resource availability | The impact of an expired subscription on the resource availability in a workspace varies based on the time elapsed since the expiration. For more information, see the Resource availability for an expired subscription section of this topic. |
Renewal policy | To continue using your subscription workspace after it expires, renew your subscription. For more information, see Renewal policy. Note
|
Refund policy | The subscription billing method requires an upfront payment. If you no longer require a workspace due to business requirement changes, you can submit a ticket to cancel the subscription and apply for a refund. For information about the refund operations and rules, see Refund policy. |
Resource scaling | After you create a subscription workspace, you can modify its resource configurations. For more information, see Reconfigure resources. |
Unit prices in different regions
The subscription billing method is more fee-effective if the subscription duration is longer than one year.
You can view the actual prices on the buy page.
The China (Zhangjiakou) region and Zone H of the China (Hangzhou) region currently only support scaling existing resources. You can purchase new resources in other regions and zones. For information about the most recent list of supported regions and zones, see the buy page.

Resource availability for an expired subscription
A subscription workspace has a validity period based on the subscription duration that you specify when you purchase the workspace. If the subscription expires and you do not renew it in a timely manner, the workspace resources are automatically released. The following figure shows the different stages of a workspace that has an expired subscription and the recommended actions.
Stage | System policy | Recommended action
Before expiration | You are notified by text message and email. | Renew the subscription to continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
After expiration | Within 15 days after expiration | You cannot access the workspace. The running deployments in the workspace are stopped. | Renew the subscription to continue using the workspace. For more information, see Renewal policy.
15 days after expiration | The workspace resources are automatically released. The deployment data of the workspace is deleted and cannot be restored. Note Resources that are stored in Object Storage Service (OSS) buckets, such as JAR packages you uploaded, are not deleted. | The workspace cannot be restored. You must recreate a workspace. |
Billing examples
The actual price on the buy page prevails.
In this example, you want to create a workspace in the Intel X86 architecture in the Singapore region. The number of CUs for computing is 10 and the subscription duration is three months. Billing details:
All 10 CUs are used for single-zone deployment:
The unit prices of management resources and computing resources in the Singapore region are the same, which is USD 45.94 per CU per month.
Required fee = Fee for management resources + Fee for computing resources = 2 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months + 8 CUs × USD 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months = USD 275.64 + USD 1,378.2 = USD 1,653.84.
All 10 CUs are used for cross-zone deployment:
The unit price of management resources in the Singapore region is USD 45.94 per CU per month and the unit price of computing resources is USD 64.316 per CU per month.
Required fee = Fee for management resources + Fee for computing resources = USD 2 CUs × 45.94 per CU per month × 3 months + USD 10 CUs × 64.316 per CU per month × 3 months = USD 275.64 + USD 1,929.48=USD 2,205.12.
