Pay-as-you-go workspaces never expire and do not need to be renewed. A subscription workspace is automatically released after it expires. If you want to continue to use the workspace, you must renew the workspace before it is released to extend the validity period of the workspace. This topic describes how to renew a subscription workspace.
Prerequisites
The workspace that you want to renew is in the normal or frozen state.
Precautions
A subscription workspace has a validity period. If you do not renew a subscription workspace before the end of the validity period, services may be interrupted or even data may be lost. For more information about resource changes after a subscription workspace expires, see Resource availability for an expired subscription.
If your account has an overdue payment, you can use the existing subscription workspace. However, you cannot purchase new workspaces or renew existing workspaces.
ImportantIf your workspace fails to be automatically renewed due to insufficient account balance but you top up your account after the workspace expires, the workspace is not automatically renewed. In this case, you must manually renew your workspace before it is automatically released.
Manually renew a workspace
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.
find the desired workspace and choose in the Actions column.
In the Renew dialog box, configure the Renewal Duration parameter.
You can renew a workspace on a monthly basis.
Read Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement and select I have read and agree to Alibaba Cloud International Website Realtime Compute Service Level Agreement.
Click OK.
On the Purchase page, view the order information and click Subscribe.
After you complete the payment, the workspace is renewed.
Enable auto-renewal for a workspace
If you enable auto-renewal for workspaces, you do not need to manually renew the workspaces on a regular basis. Auto-renewal also helps prevent service interruptions that occur if you fail to renew workspaces in a timely manner. You can perform one of the following steps to enable auto-renewal for a workspace:
Enable auto-renewal on the buy page
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console. In the Fully Managed Flink section, click Purchase. On the page that appears, select Enable for Auto-renewal, as shown in the following figure. For more information about how to create a fully managed Flink workspace, see Activate Realtime Compute for Apache Flink.
Enable auto-renewal on the Renewal page
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.
In the top navigation bar, choose
.On the Renewal page of the Billing Management console, configure the Validity Period, Instances, and Region parameters to search for the desired workspaces.
On the Manual tab, enable auto-renewal for one or more workspaces.
Enable auto-renewal for one workspace: Find the desired workspace and click Enable Auto Renewal in the Actions column.
Enable auto-renewal for multiple workspaces: Select multiple workspaces and click Enable Auto Renewal at the bottom of the workspace list.
In the Enable Auto Renewal dialog box, select an auto-renewal cycle and click Auto Renew.
If the workspace appears on the Auto tab, auto-renewal is enabled for the workspace.
Disable auto-renewal for a workspace
If you enable auto-renewal for your workspace, the system deducts fees from your account balance nine days before the workspace expires. If you no longer require auto-renewal for the workspace after the current billing cycle, you can disable auto-renewal for the workspace before the system deducts the fees for the next billing cycle.
Log on to the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.
In the top navigation bar, choose .
On the Renewal page of the Billing Management console, configure the Validity Period, Instances, and Region parameters to search for the desired workspaces.
On the Auto tab, use one of the methods that are described in the following table to disable auto-renewal for one or more workspaces.

Enable manual renewal for one workspace: Find the desired workspace and click Enable Manual Renewal in the Actions column. In the Enable Manual Renewal dialog box, click OK.
Enable manual renewal for multiple workspaces: Select multiple workspaces and click Enable Manual Renewal at the bottom of the workspace list. In the Enable Manual Renewal dialog box, click OK.
After you enable manual renewal for a workspace, you must manually renew the workspace before it expires. For more information, see Manually renew a workspace.
Enable non-renewal
Enable non-renewal for one workspace: Find the desired workspace and click Nonrenewal in the Actions column. In the Set as Nonrenewal dialog box, click OK.
Enable non-renewal for multiple workspaces: Select multiple workspaces and click Set as Nonrenewal at the bottom of the workspace list. In the Set as Nonrenewal dialog box, click OK.
After you enable non-renewal for a workspace, the workspace no longer provides services after it expires, and you are notified about the workspace expiration only once. If you want to continue using the workspace, you can manually renew the workspace or modify the renewal settings of the workspace before it expires.
If the workspaces appear in the list on the Manual or Nonrenewal tab, auto-renewal is disabled for the workspaces.
