ENS:Resize a partition and a file system

Last Updated:Oct 25, 2024

This topic describes how to resize a system disk. A system disk created from an image is limited to the size of the image, but can be resized after the disk is created.

For example, you want to create a 100 GB Linux system disk to host your services. However, the image is only 20 GB in size. This results in a system disk size of 20 GB, which is insufficient for your use case. If you do not resize the system disk, your services may be affected.

For more information, see Extend partitions and file systems on a Linux system disk.
