After version management is enabled for a website, Edge Security Acceleration (ESA) dynamically divides website configurations into version-level configurations and global configurations for the website.
Create a version
When you enable version management for a website, ESA automatically creates version 0 for the website.
You cannot directly create a version. You can create a version only by cloning an existing version. The version number of the version created from cloning automatically increments by one.
In the ESA console, choose Websites and click the website name you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
. Find the version that you want to clone and click Clone in the Actions column.
Modify version configurations
In the ESA console, choose Websites and click the website name you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
. Find the version that you want to select and click Select in the Actions column, and modify the configurations.
Compare versions
In the ESA console, choose Websites and click the website name you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
. Find the version that you want to compare and click Compare in the Actions column.In the Compare Version panel, select the version that you want to compare with, and click Compare.
Version comparison provides a clear view of differences between two versions.
Delete a version
Before you delete a version, make sure that the version is not deployed to any environment.
A deleted version cannot be recovered.
In the ESA console, choose Websites and click the website name you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose
. Find the version that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column.
View metrics
After you switch traffic to an environment in which a version is deployed, you can view traffic information and logs for the specified version.
In the ESA console, choose Websites and click the website name you want to manage.
In the left-side navigation tree, choose
, and click View Metrics in the Actions column.
