Elastic Compute Service:Delete image templates and image components

You can delete any abnormal image templates or components you have created, and then recreate them if necessary. Delete image templates or components that you no longer need to reduce resource consumption.

Delete image templates

Considerations

Consider the following before deletion:

  • Verify that no build tasks are in progress before you delete a template, because active tasks prevent deletion. We recommend that you wait for all tasks to be completed before proceeding.

  • Deleting an image template will not affect the status of any images that the image template was used to create.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ECS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > icon1 > Image Builder.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group to which the resource belongs. 地域

  4. Navigate to the Image Builder page, find the image template you wish to delete on the Image Templates tab, and in the Actions column, click Delete.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, confirm the information before deletion, then click Confirm.

Delete image components

Limits

  • Only custom image components that you have created can be deleted. System components are not removable.

  • If an image component is used by an image template, you must remove the template before deleting the component.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ECS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > icon1 > Image Builder.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group to which the resource belongs. 地域

  4. On the Image Builder page, click the Image Components tab.

  5. Under the Custom Components tab, find the image component you wish to delete. In the Actions column, click Delete.

  6. Confirm the deletion by clicking Confirm when prompted.
