    Alibaba Cloud DNS:Configure the effective scope of a built-in authoritative zone

    Procedure

    To configure the effective scope of a built-in authoritative zone, perform the following steps:

    1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Private DNS (PrivateZone). In the upper-right corner of the page that appears, click Configuration Mode. Click the Built-in Authoritative Module tab, and then click the User Defined Zones tab.

    3. On the User Defined Zones tab, find the desired zone and then click Effective Scope Settings in the Actions column.

      Note

      For a built-in authoritative zone that has no DNS record, add a DNS record and then configure the effective scope of the zone.

    4. On the Zone Settings tab, click the drop-down arrow next to Effective Scope of Zone. In the Alibaba Cloud VPC section, select a virtual private cloud (VPC) in which the zone takes effect.image.png

    5. After the configuration is complete, click OK.

      Note

      After you configure the effective scope of a built-in authoritative zone, you can follow steps 2 to 4 to adjust the effective scope configuration based on your business requirements.
