If you set an effective scope for a new built-in authoritative zone that is configured with Domain Name System (DNS) records, you can check whether the DNS records take effect by using the method described in this topic.
In this example, your private zone aliyun.com
is associated with a virtual private cloud (VPC) in the China (Shenzhen) region.
aliyun.com
is configured with the following DNS records.
Procedure
You can view the DNS resolution result of the private zone on an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance in the associated VPC in the China (Shenzhen) region.
Log on to the ECS instance in the associated VPC in the China (Shenzhen) region and run the host command for verification. The following figure shows the verification result on the ECS instance.
As the result shows,
aliyun.com
can be resolved to the configured private IP addresses.
For comparison, you can run the host command on your on-premises computer. The following figure shows the result, which is different from that on the ECS instance.
