Alibaba Cloud DNS:Query the cached data of cache-accelerated domain names

Overview

Alibaba Cloud DNS provides the feature of querying cached Domain Name System (DNS) results for cache-accelerated domain names in different areas.

How DNS results are cached

• If an origin server is configured with an intelligent resolution line, the DNS records of back-to-origin queries for cache-accelerated domain names are cached based on the rules for matching intelligent resolution lines.

• A cache retention mechanism is introduced for cache-accelerated domain names. If the cached DNS records of a cache-accelerated domain name do not expire, DNS requests directly match the cached DNS records. If the cached DNS records of a cache-accelerated domain name expire, new DNS requests trigger back-to-origin queries, and responses to these new DNS requests replace the cached DNS records. If the back-to-origin queries fail, the originally cached DNS records are still used for responses until the DNS records of this domain name are cleared from the cache because the DNS requests for this domain name decrease.

Procedure

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console.

2. On the Authoritative DNS Resolution page, click the Cache-accelerated Domain Name tab.

3. Find the desired domain name and click Cached Data in the Actions column.

   

   Note

   • You can query the cached data by Internet service provider (ISP) line, line outside the Chinese mainland, and Alibaba Cloud line.

   • ISP lines are categorized into China Telecom, China Unicom, and China Mobile lines. You must select a province on the map to display the corresponding cached data.

   • Lines outside the Chinese mainland are categorized into Asia, Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Oceania lines. You must select a country or region to display the corresponding cached data.

   • You must select an Alibaba Cloud region to display the corresponding cached data for Alibaba Cloud lines.
