:Create a database

This section describes how to create a database.

Prerequisites

You must have access permissions to DMS and be logged on to the DMS console.

Procedure

1. Select an ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance and then click Log on to Database.

2. After you log on to the instance, select Create > Database to open the database creation window.

3. Enter the Database Name and Database Set Name in the Create Database window, as shown in the following figure:

   

   Note

   When you create a database, you must enter a collection name in the window to create a collection for the database. If you do not enter a collection name, a collection using the name test is created by default.

4. Click OK to create the database.
