No. Only a valid domain name is needed.
Can Domain Name of Alibaba Mail Be Used As the Sending Domain Name of DirectMail?
We recommend that you do not use domain name of Alibaba Mail as a sender domain name, because exceptions may occur when receiving emails on Alibaba Mail. The domain name verification requires the configuration of MX records. As a result, the domain name of Alibaba Mail email address will point to the MX records of two different servers, which may lead to the abnormal receiving function. After receiving the mail, the MX address service of DirectMail will directly discard the mail and does not keep the returned mail.
We recommend that you create a second-level domain name for the existing Alibaba Mail domain name as the sender domain name of DirectMail.
Can I Use the Sender Address of DirectMail in Alibaba Mail to Receive Emails?
No. DirectMail does not provide the receiving service.
