Due to the adjustment of Database Backup (DBS) capabilities, Alibaba Cloud will gradually phase out the features provided on the Backup Data Query page of the DBS console since May 2024.
Background information
The discontinuation of the backup data query feature is an adjustment based on the end-of-sale plan of Data Lake Analytics (DLA). DLA will be discontinued in phases by region starting from January 1, 2024. The backup data query feature of DBS allows users to query backup data in Object Storage Service (OSS) by integrating with DLA. Users can select backup sets, create a data lake, and then use SQL statements to query data in the selected backup sets that are stored in the offline data lake. However, as DLA is being phased out, the backup data query feature of DBS will also be phased out since May 2024. For more information, see [Notice] End of sale for DLA.
Schedule
The phase-out starts from May 2024.
Impacts
After the Backup Data Query page is discontinued, the related features will become unavailable and related documentation will be removed.
