Since June 10, 2024, DataWorks has been gradually releasing serverless resource groups in all regions. A serverless resource group provides the core features of resource groups of the old version, including exclusive resource groups for scheduling, exclusive resource groups for Data Integration, exclusive resource groups for DataService Studio, and shared resource groups. You can use a serverless resource group to perform operations such as data synchronization, task scheduling, and API operation call and management.
Take note of the following items after serverless resource groups are released:
If you purchased and used a resource group of the old version, you can continue to purchase and use resource groups of the old version. You can also purchase and use a serverless resource group.
Serverless resource groups are supported in the following regions: China (Beijing), China (Shanghai), China (Shenzhen), China (Hangzhou), China (Hong Kong), China (Zhangjiakou), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), Japan (Tokyo), UK (London), US (Silicon Valley), Germany (Frankfurt), and US (Virginia).
If users who have activated DataWorks of any edition in the China (Hangzhou) and Germany (Frankfurt) regions want to use general-purpose resource groups, the users must submit a ticket to contact technical support.
If you did not activate DataWorks in any region, you can purchase and use only serverless resource groups after you activate DataWorks.
