Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) provides two types of instances: file gateways and block gateways.
File gateways support the NFS protocol, including NFSv3 and NFSv4, and the SMB protocol. You can connect file gateways to Object Storage Service (OSS) through these protocols. All the data stored in your local file system can be synchronized to OSS buckets.
Block gateways support the iSCSI protocol and provide iSCSI volumes that support cloud storage.
