By default, after an alert is generated, a notification is sent to the personnel who handle the alert for the first time. If some key alerts that need to be handled in time are not handled within the specified time, an alert notification will be automatically sent to the corresponding alert contact group according to the alert level.
Create a notification configuration policy
Prerequisites: An alert contact and an alert contact group are created. For more information, see Create an alert contact or alert contact group.
- Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Notification Configuration page, click Create policy.
In the Create Policy panel, configure the parameters.

Name
The name of the notification configuration policy.
Description
The description of the notification configuration policy.
Notification
The first notification object of the alert. Valid values for Notification settings:
Set the notification group directly: Select an alert contact group.
Set the notification group by severity: Select an alert contact group based on the following levels: Critical, Warning, Notification (Info), and Resume (Resolved).
Click OK.
Modify a notification configuration policy
- Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Notification Configuration page, click the icon in the upper-right corner of the section for the notification configuration policy.
In the Edit Policy panel, modify the parameters.

Click OK.
Delete a notification configuration policy
- Log on to the CloudMonitor console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Notification Configuration page, click the icon in the upper-right corner of the section for the notification configuration policy.
In the Delete prompt message, click OK.
