CloudMonitor:Manage browser test tasks

After you create a browser test task, you can modify script recording settings, and modify, delete, stop, or enable the browser test task.

Modify script recording settings

You can modify script recording settings for a browser test task that initiates simulated requests from PCs.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the browser test task that you want to modify, click the image icon in the Actions column, and then select Edit script recording.

    For information about how to record a script, see Step 2 and Step 3 in Use the script recording feature to define assertions on the execution result of a specific business logic.

Modify a browser test task

You can modify script recording settings when you modify a browser test task that initiates simulated requests from PCs.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the browser test task that you want to modify and click Edit in the Actions column.

  4. On the Modify Task page, configure the parameters for the browser test task.

    For more information about how to configure the parameters of a browser test task, see Step 1 in Use the script recording feature to define assertions on the execution result of a specific business logic.

  5. Click Modify.

    Note

    You can click Save and edit script recording to go to the Script Recording page only if you set Device to PC. For information about how to record a script, see Step 2 and Step 3 in Use the script recording feature to define assertions on the execution result of a specific business logic.

Delete a browser test task

After the browser test task is deleted, the alert rules associated with the task are also deleted.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. Delete browser test tasks.

    • Delete a single browser test task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the browser test task that you want to delete, click the image icon in the Actions column, and then select Delete.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • Delete multiple browser test tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the browser test tasks that you want to delete, and then click Delete.

      2. In the message that appears click Confirm.

Stop a browser test task

You can stop a browser test task only if it is in the Running state. After the browser test task is disabled, the detection is suspended.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. Stop browser test tasks.

    • Stop a single browser test task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the browser test task that you want to stop and click Stop in the Actions column.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • Stop multiple browser test tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the browser test tasks that you want to stop, and then click Stop.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

Enable a browser test task

You can stop a browser test task only if it is in the Running state. After you enable the browser test task, the detection is resumed.

  1. Log on to the CloudMonitor console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network Analysis and Monitoring > Browser Tests.

  3. Enable browser test tasks.

    • Enable a single browser test task

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, find the browser test task that you want to enable and click Enable in the Actions column.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.

    • Enable multiple browser test tasks at a time

      1. On the Monitoring Tasks tab, select the browser test tasks that you want to enable, and then click Enable.

      2. In the message that appears, click Confirm.
