CloudMonitor sends alert notifications when your API call quota, alert text message quota, or alert phone call quota is used up or nearly used up. This topic describes the causes and solutions for each quota type.
This topic applies only to users who activated CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go) (cms_basic_public_cn) and purchased a resource plan of alert text messages (cms_sms_dp_cn) and a resource plan of alert phone calls (cms_voice_dp_cn) after 22:00:00 (UTC+8) on September 13, 2022.

What consumes API call quota
The free quota covers calls to the following four APIs:
Two sources consume this quota:
Direct API calls. Directly calling these API operations counts against your quota. Calls made through the CloudMonitor console are excluded.
Grafana plugins. CloudMonitor Grafana plugins that visualize monitoring data also consume API call quota. For more information, see Use Grafana to view monitoring data.
If the free quota of API calls for metric data queries is used up, metric data of cloud services cannot be queried through API operations.
