CloudMonitor:How do I fix the issue that the quotas of CloudMonitor are insufficient?

This topic describes how to fix the issue that you receive an alert notification stating that the quotas of CloudMonitor are used up or are about to be used up.

This topic apples only to users who have activated CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go) (cms_basic_public_cn) and purchased a resource plan of alert text messages (cms_sms_dp_cn) and a resource plan of alert phone calls (cms_voice_dp_cn) after 22:00:00 (UTC+8) on September 13, 2022.

If the number of API calls for metric data query, the number of alert text messages, or the number of alert phone calls has been used up or is about to be used up, you receive an alert notification. The following table describes how to fix the issue.

API calls for metric data query

Important

If the free quota of API calls for metric data query has been used up, the metric data of the desired cloud service cannot be queried by performing API operations for metric data query.

  • If the quota is used up because you obtain monitoring data in real time, we recommend that you use the cloud monitoring exporter feature provided by Hybrid Cloud Monitoring.

    For more information, see Export monitoring data in real time.

  • If the quota is used up because you use the Grafana plug-ins of CloudMonitor, we recommend that you use the dashboards of Hybrid Cloud Monitoring.

    For more information, see Manage dashboards.

  • If the quota is used up because you perform instant query of metric data, we recommend that you activate CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go).
