CloudMonitor:Resource plans

Last Updated:Aug 27, 2024

A resource plan is a type of subscription billing method that offers certain discounts. You can purchase resource plans based on your business requirements. After you activate CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go) and purchase resource plans, the resource plans are used to offset the fees of CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go) if the free resource quotas are used up.

Resource plan of alert text messages

  • 1,000 text messages: USD 6.4

  • 5,000 text messages: USD 32

  • 10,000 text messages: USD 61

  • 100,000 text messages: USD 570

Assume that you have activated CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go). You used 600 alert text messages at 13:00:00 on June 1, 2023, purchased a resource plan that provides 10,000 alert text messages, and then used 5,000 alert text messages. The following items show the remaining quotas:

Remaining free quota before you purchased the resource plan = (1,000 - 600) = 400

Remaining quota of the resource plan = 10,000 - (5,000 - 400) = 5,400

Note

The free quota of alert text messages is 1,000 per month.

Resource plan of alert phone calls

  • 500 calls: USD 10.6

  • 1,000 calls: USD 21.2

  • 5,000 calls: USD 88

  • 10,000 calls: USD 176

Assume that you have activated CloudMonitor Basic (pay-as-you-go). You purchased a resource plan that provides 5,000 alert phone calls on June 1, 2023, and then used 5,500 alert phone calls. The quota provided by the resource plan is used up, and the remaining 500 alert phone calls are billed based on the pay-as-you-go billing method.

Note

Starting from April 27, 2024, you are not charged for unanswered calls.

Offset rules of resource plans

The following table describe the offset rules of the resource plans.

Item

Description

Validity period

The validity period of resource plans is six months. An expired resource plan can no longer be used, and the validity period cannot be extended.

Effective time

A resource plan immediately takes effect after you purchase the resource plan.

Offset order

You can purchase multiple resource plans. Resource plans of the same type are used in the following order:

  • The resource plans are used based on their expiration dates. Resource plans whose expiration dates are earlier are used first.

  • If the quotas provided by the resource plans are used up, you are charged for the excess usage by using the pay-as-you-go billing method.
