resource
A resource in CMH refers to an object to be migrated to Alibaba Cloud, such as a physical server in a data center, a virtualized server, or an infrastructure resource in a third-party cloud.
migration group
A migration group in CMH refers to a group of resources that share the same business characteristics. You can define an application, a group of applications, or even a big data cluster in a business system as a migration group.
A migration group is the smallest unit for migration. CMH establishes a dashboard for each migration group to help you track the migration progress.
task
A task in CMH corresponds to a migration task created in migration tools, such as Server Migration Center (SMC) and Data Transmission Service (DTS). Data migration is actually performed by migration tools instead of CMH. CMH synchronizes the status of migration tasks from the migration tools to its dashboards for display.
