Cloud Config:ecs-instance-imageId-check

Checks whether the ID of the system image used by each Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance matches the specified setting.

Scenarios

If you want to use the same system image for all ECS instances of your business, you can configure this rule.

Risk level

Default risk level: medium.

You can change the risk level as required when you apply this rule.

Compliance evaluation logic

  • If the ID of the system image used by each ECS instance matches the specified setting, the evaluation result is compliant.
  • If the IDs of one or more system images used by ECS instances do not match the specified setting, the evaluation result is non-compliant. For more information about how to correct the non-compliant configuration, see Non-compliance remediation.
