This topic describes how to configure the Wait for a WhatsApp Response node. This node is configured to wait for message responses from users.

Wait for a WhatsApp Response

Prerequisites

You have accessed the chat flow orchestration page. Perform the following steps to go to the chat flow orchestration page: Log on to the Chat App Message Service console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Chat Flow. On the page that appears, click the Flow Management tab. Then, click the name of the chat flow that you want to manage.

Procedure

  1. Click the Wait for a WhatsApp Response node icon on the canvas.image

  2. In the Configure section, configure the node based on your business requirements. For more information about the configuration details, see the Parameter description section of this topic.

  3. Click Save.

Duration

Specify a custom wait time. After the wait time is reached, the system performs the specified action.

Add expired case

By default, Add expired case is turned off. In this case, a chat flow enters the Replied branch. After you turn on the switch, the Not replied branch is created. In this case, a chat flow enters the Not replied branch if a user does not send a response message within the specified wait time.

Response variable name

Add a variable for subsequent reference. The added variable is displayed in the available variables section.
