Cloud Data Transfer:Supported services

Last Updated:Nov 04, 2024

Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) aggregates and bills Internet data transfers and cross-region data transfers for multiple Alibaba Cloud services in a centralized manner. This topic describes the metering methods, maximum bandwidths, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the Alibaba Cloud services supported by CDT.

Services and metering methods supported by CDT

CDT bills Internet data transfers and cross-region data transfers in a centralized manner. The following table describes the services for which CDT supports billing.

Note
  • After you activate CDT and use CDT to bill data transfers for Alibaba Cloud services, all existing and new pay-by-data-transfer instances are automatically billed in CDT in a centralized manner, and pay-by-bandwidth instances continue to be billed in the Alibaba Cloud services. You can query your CDT bills on the Bill Details page in the Expenses and Costs console.

  • Check whether you have a pay-by-data-transfer instance. If you only activate CDT but do not have a pay-by-data-transfer instance, you do not enjoy the data transfer benefits of CDT.

  • If your ECS instance is in a virtual private cloud (VPC), you can be billed by CDT. If your ECS instance is in a classic network, you cannot be billed by CDT, you can Migrate ECS instances from the classic network to a VPC to be billed by CDT.

CLB

For each Alibaba Cloud account, the sum of the maximum bandwidths of all pay-by-data-transfer Internet-facing CLB instances in a region cannot exceed 5 Gbit/s.

  • Service availability of at least 99.95% for a multi-zone instance.
