CDN:How am I billed for using POPs in the Chinese mainland if my origin server is located outside the Chinese mainland?

Causes

If your origin server is located outside the Chinese mainland such as Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), or Taiwan (China) and you use POPs in the Chinese mainland to accelerate content delivery, you are charged based on the billing standards for the Chinese mainland.

The reason why you are charged in this way is that you are charged only for the outbound traffic of POPs. If your origin server is located outside the Chinese mainland and you use POPs in the Chinese mainland, the acceleration performance of Alibaba Cloud CDN is compromised. This is because latency may occur for origin fetch requests.

f your origin server and users are located outside the Chinese mainland, we recommend that you use the POPs located outside the Chinese mainland to accelerate content delivery.
