This topic describes how to configure an SSL certificate for a wildcard domain name.

You cannot apply for free SSL certificates for wildcard domain names, for example, *.example.com, in the Alibaba Cloud CDN console. If you have such requirements, log on to the SSL Certificates Service console and purchase an SSL certificate of the wildcard domain name type. For more information, see What kind of domain names are supported by wildcard domain certificates?.

After you purchase an SSL certificate for a wildcard domain name, you must configure the SSL certificate for the domain name in the Alibaba Cloud CDN console and set Certificate Source to SSL Certificates Service. For more information, see Configure an SSL certificate.
