Captcha 2.0 supports the pay-as-you-go billing method. You can also purchase resource plans to offset the fee for calling Captcha 2.0. This topic describes the billing methods of Captcha 2.0.

Billing cycle
Bills for pay-as-you-go Captcha 2.0 are generated and settled on a daily basis based on UTC+8. After a bill is settled, a new billing cycle begins.
Subscription resource plans
After you activate Captcha 2.0, you can purchase resource plans to offset the fee for calling Captcha 2.0. You can visit the buy page of resource plans to view the specifications and pricing of resource plans and purchase resource plans based on the estimated number of calls.
If the quota of your purchased resource plans is exhausted, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method. After a bill is generated, fees are automatically deducted from your Alibaba Cloud account.

Offset rules
You can use a resource plan to offset the fee for calling Captcha 2.0 regardless of the region and verification code type. The pricing of resource plans varies based on the specifications. The pricing on the buy page of resource plans prevails.
The fee for using features is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis and cannot be offset by using a resource plan. The following table describes the billable items.

Offset order
After you purchase a resource plan, the resource plan is preferentially used to offset the fee for calling Captcha 2.0.
You can purchase multiple resource plans. If you purchase multiple resource plans of the same type, the resource plans are used in the following order:
The resource plan that expires earlier is preferentially used. If multiple resource plans have the same expiration time, the plan purchased earlier is preferentially used.
If the quota of all your purchased resource plans is exhausted, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method and deducts fees from your Alibaba Cloud account.
Validity period
A resource plan has a validity period of one year or one month.
After a resource plan expires, you can no longer use the resource plan to offset the fee for calling Captcha 2.0. You must purchase new resource plans.
Effective time and offset time
A resource plan takes effect immediately after the resource plan is purchased. You can use the resource plan to offset the fee of the pay-as-you-go bill generated on the current day.
Query the remaining quota
You can query the remaining quota and usage details of resource plans on the Expenses and Costs console of Alibaba Cloud.
Log on to the Expenses and Costs console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Manage Reserved Instances.
On the Manage Reserved Instances page, set the Resource Type parameter to Resource Packages.
Click the Instances or Details tab. In the Product Name column, select Web Application Firewall.
NoteAlibaba Cloud Captcha 2.0 is a service provided by Web Application Firewall (WAF). You can select Web Application Firewall in the Product Name column to search for Captcha resource plans.
Query the remaining quota and usage details of resource plans.
Refund policy
Self-service unsubscription is not supported. If your resource plan meets the following requirements, you can submit a ticket to apply for a refund:
The resource plan is purchased for no more than five days.
The resource plan is not used.
If a resource plan is used, the remaining quota cannot be refunded.
Overdue payments
If the credits in your Alibaba Cloud account, including your account balance and vouchers, are insufficient to cover the bill amount to be settled, the bill is considered overdue. To ensure that Captcha 2.0 runs as expected, you must settle the overdue payments within your Alibaba Cloud account at the earliest opportunity. If you do not settle the overdue payments within seven days, your Captcha 2.0 instance is released. Captcha 2.0 is deactivated and all configurations are deleted. In this case, you must reactivate Captcha 2.0.
