    Before you use Managed Service for OpenTelemetry, you must activate Managed Service for OpenTelemetry and obtain the configuration information for reporting data.

    Preparations

    Before you use Managed Service for OpenTelemetry, perform the following steps:

    1. Activate Managed Service for OpenTelemetry.

      Go to the product page of Managed Service for OpenTelemetry and activate Managed Service for OpenTelemetry as prompted.

    2. Before you instrument your applications, obtain the configuration information for reporting data. For more information, see the following topics:

      1. Domain names and ports required for non-Alibaba Cloud applications

      2. Connect to Tracing Analysis and authenticate clients
