Application Real-Time Monitoring Service:Delete Application

Last Updated:Feb 28, 2026

If you no longer need ARMS to monitor your application, you can permanently delete it from the application settings page.

Important

Application Monitoring provides a new application details page for users who have enabled the new billing mode.

If you have not enabled the new billing mode, click Switch to New Version on the Application List page to view the new application details page.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Monitoring > Application List.

  2. On the Applications List page, select the destination region at the top, and then click the name of the target application.

    Note

Language column icons indicate the following:

Java图标: Java application integrated with Application Monitoring.

image: Golang application integrated with Application Monitoring.

image: Python application integrated with Application Monitoring.

-: Application integrated with Managed Service for OpenTelemetry.

  3. In the top navigation bar, choose Application Configuration > Custom Configuration.

  4. In the Probe Switch Settings area, turn on the Pause Application Monitoring switch, and then click Save.

    Important

The change takes effect dynamically. You do not need to restart the application. After you enable this switch, ARMS stops monitoring your application and no fees are incurred. Proceed with caution.

  5. To uninstall the Application Monitoring agent, see Uninstall the Java agent and Uninstall the Golang agent.

  6. After you uninstall the probe, in the top navigation bar, choose Application Configuration > Delete.

  7. Click Delete Application. In the Delete Application dialog box that appears, select a Deletion Reason, and then click OK to permanently delete the application.

    Warning

This operation deletes the application's metadata but does not delete application observation data. Deleted metadata cannot be recovered.

Results

You return to the Application List page. The deleted application no longer appears in the list.
