Three factors commonly extend upgrade duration:
Insufficient infrastructure resources
Upgrading requires additional Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances and cloud disks. If these resources are unavailable in your region or zone, the upgrade pauses until capacity is replenished.
Concurrent upgrade tasks
When multiple upgrade tasks run simultaneously across the platform, they compete for shared infrastructure resources. This contention slows down individual upgrades.
Accumulated version gap
If the instance has not been upgraded for an extended period, multiple updates must be performed sequentially. Each update takes time, so total duration increases with the number of skipped versions.
To prevent this, apply version upgrades regularly instead of letting multiple versions accumulate.
