    This topic describes how to scale out or in a cluster instance by adding or deleting nodes when you need to adjust the computing capability of the cluster.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the ApsaraDB for OceanBase console.

    2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Instances.

    3. On the Instances page, click the name of the target cluster instance to go to the Cluster Instance Workspace page.

    4. Click the More icon in the upper-right corner and select Add/Remove Node from the drop-down menu. 增删节点en

    5. In the dialog box that appears, select Add Node or Remove Node according to your business needs, and click OK.

    6. Specify the number of nodes in the Nodes field, and agree to the service agreement.

    7. Click Buy Now and make the payment.

    Note

    You can scale out or in the storage space only when all tenants in the cluster instance are in the Running state. During the storage scale-out or scale-in, the request reponse time may be increased. Therefore, perform this operation during off-peak hours.
